,Thje.\ third grade representative City and Subijrbaiv teams met at tlie Pold Ground on -Saturday. The weather, conditions were agaiiigtrigood play. ■ The v teams were:—.' ...-." Cityv^Burns; Gibb, Bacon, Ashenden; MartheT?, Langdon; McMillan; Robson, Pope',;, Clarke, Anderson,' Harland, Airth, Alexander, Rastall. Subiirban.—Harper; Brown, Halli Taylor; Smith, Walling; Tyree; Gregg, Morris, .Toomeri Titzens, Fickett, McLean, Arbuthitot, Cooke. City'attacked early, but Suburban's de-fence-was sound. The City backs were given- plenty o£ the ball, and from a scramble Pope scored. The wind prevented the Subiirban side from opening, up play, and they were not able to indulge.in back play. A clever interception by Anderson^ followed by a run of 20 yards resulted in a try. Burns converted from in front of the posts. McMillan payed the way for City's next try. He instituted a passing rush that ended in Langdon scoring. Burns converted. The score at half-time ■; was: City 13, Suburban. 0. . In the Suburban team Satherley replaced Smith in the second spell, and in the City team Brooks and' Gilbertsop. replaced Bacon and Ashenden' respectively. The thick drizzle rather spoilt play. Cooke scored for Suburban and Clarke for City. Brown scored a try which Taylor, converted. The final score was: City 16, Sub-urban-8. . -
