GOOD TE AROHA PAIR.
-Once again it %g proved at the Paku'ranga Hunt \ Meeting recently that King's Archer is not at his best on yielding going, but can vun a solid mile) and a quarter on a firm track. The Te Aroha course- had been- comparatively dry throughout the winter and his work thereon had been of a very consistent nature. He should make amends for recent failures when he is called upon to compete on firm ground. :-- . :-v - . •
Antique, who is trained at the same centre, is reported to be shaping up satisfactorily at present, being exceptionally muscular, if still somewhat on the robust side. Judging by his short sprints, the report states, he is not on the down grade as regards pace and is likely to prove again the mainstay of his stable this season.
