for another two years. Our representative learns that it has now been decided to dispose of the famous breeding establishment lock, stock, and barrel' at one of the Newmarket Bales in October. "The stock will include many famous mares and their foals, among them being the twenty-one-year-old mare Dolabella, a daughter of White Eagle and Gondolette, and dam of Myrobella, the winner of the Sandown Park Stud Produce Stakes on Saturday. The value of this race to Lord Lonsdale, who has leased the filly from the National Stud, is £6753, and the Government, as breeders of the winner, receive £300. This is the most important success of the season, and brings the winnings of National Stur' stock up to £17,218. "A host o£ famous horses has been bred there, among the most notable being Night Hawk and Royal Lancer (St. Leger winners), Cherry-Lass (One Thousand Guineas and Oaks), Minoru (who won the Two Thousand Guineas and Derby for the late King Edward), White Eagle,' Warden o£ the Marches, aan Royal Realm. "The figures_for the year ending 31st March, 1931, are not yet available, but it is interesting to note that in the preceding year the trading profits of the stud were £25,727, which brought the total for fourteen years, since 1916, up to £144,610."
