The Marine Department advises mariners that gunnery practice will be carried out in the vicinity of Flat Rock between Ist and Bth September (inclusive), and that night firing will take place toward the end of this period. ZEALANDIC AT LONDON. The Zealandic, which sailed from Auckland on 20tU July, arrived at London on Thursday. TAMAHINE TO SLIP. The Picton ferry steamer Tamahlne arrived back from Picton early this morning to go on the Patent Slip. She is to resume in the service on Wednesday. KARTIGI BAR-BOUND. The Kartigl, loaded for Wellington and Auckland, is bar-bound at Greymouth. DOCKING OF THE PAUA. The Shell Company's coastal oil tanker Paua, the only coastal tanker engaged in carrying oil In New Zealand, will be docked on Monday. The Otokia, which is engaged in carrying fuel to New Zealand, and the Thelma, which has brought fuel oil to New Zealand from Slngar liore, have previously been docked at Wellington. THE NEW ZEALAND. The tanker New Zealand, en route from San Pedro, via Australia, has reported by wireless that she expects to arrive at Dunedin on Wednesday morning.
