REVIEW OF ESTIMATES
COMMISSION'S REPORT
During the past few days Cabinet j has- been giving close attention to the j final report of the National Expenditure Adjustment Commission, especially in reference to possible savings in the Estimates. Cabinet sat until 11 o'clock last night, and resumed its deliberations today. When seen this afternoon, the Prime Minister (the Eight Hon. G. W. Forbes) stated that Cabinet had been engaged in reviewing the Estimates in the light of the Commission's report, and the task had been a very arduous one. In reply to a question, Mr. Forbes said the report would not be published until the first week of the session.
