Levin and Co., Ltd., have received the following cable from their London agents, dated 12th August:—"Compared with last week's cabled advices, quotations are unaltered, and the market is steady." The Bant of New Zealand, Produce Department, has received the following advice from its London office as at close of business this week:—"The market for wether mutton is (Steady, and no material change is expected yet. The market for ewes is farm, and there is a fair demand. The market for lambs is depressed owing to heavy arrivals, and the demand is not quite so good. The market for beef is more, active owing to shorter supplies from the Argentine. Trade generally is slow owing to hot weather."
