LONDON, 30th July. In the tennis Teat at Scarborough between Australia and Britain, Crawford and Hopman (Australia) beat Perry and Olliff (Britain), 7-9, 7-5, 5-7, 64, 6-2.

(Received Ist August, 10.30 a.m.) NEW YORK, 30th July. Eayriond Little^ the noted amateur tennis player, and for several years a member of the American Davis, Cup team, has been found dead at his home. The police- say the case is one of suicide.

Raymond Little was an American Davis Cup representative in the early days of the Cup contests. In 1906 he was a singles and doubles representative against Australasia, beating L. 0. S. Poidevin (Australia), 6-2, 1-6, 7-5, 6-2, and losing to A. F. Wilding (New Zealand), 2-6, 6-8, 1-6. In the doubles Little and H. Ward beat Wilding and Poidevin, 7-5, 6-2, 6-4, and thus entered the challenge round, which up to that time had boon an almost purely American-British event. In this Britain won every match, Little being beaten by S. H. Smith in straight sets, but taking the great H. L. Dohorty to 3-6, 6-3, 6-8, 6-1, 6-3 before being defeated.. In 1909 Little played with Haekett as the American doubles team and beat J. C. Parke and W. C. Crawley (Britain), and in 1911 Little and T. C. Bundy were beaten by C. P. Dixon and A. E. Beamish (Britain) in straight sets. Neither of these latter events was a challenge round. Of the 1906 teams, Wilding, Poidevin, and Little all are dead.

CHICAGO, 31st July. Kozeluh won the United States professional tennis championship on Sunday, defeating Hans Nussleim (Germany), 6-2, 6-2, 7-5. Kozeluh defeated Tildcn on Saturday, 6-3, 3-6, 7-5, 6-1.
