LABORATORY ACCIDENT

. DUNEDIN,:This Day. While conducting a chemical experiment on his. own initiative in the laboratory. of the Otago Boys' High School after, school yesterday David Cumberbeach. aged 14, received injuries to his right hand when the mixture exploded. The boy is a member of the Camera Club, and was apparently, mixing potassium chlorate 'with some oxidisable substance. He was' sent to hospital, but it is understood that he will suffer no permanent injury., :
