A new eilition of Mr. Erie Cox's "Out of tho Silence" is published by Robertson and Mullens. This remarkable story was fivst published serially in "The Argus," Melbourne, in 1019, and proved to bo very popular. Not until: 1925 was it issued in book form in Australia. English and Ainpricnn editions immediately''fallowed) and tho attention, of European critics and' publishers was attracted. '■ French and Russian translations' were ma'dc, ixiiQ. "Out of the Silence" became popular in Europe. In the meantime Australian and English editions werd exhausted, and it is gratifying ■to know that those who hayo not made acquaintance^ with the dramatic gifts, the' invkntiyeness, and tho rare wit of Mr. Cox havo now this opportunity. Those who have read "Out of tho Silence" will doubtless bo gM to renew tho acquaintance, for it is. a story that'will bear re-reading. The author 5 coritri»utes a new preface to this edition.
