The weather was fine after ainother heavy frost.this morning for the final galloping here of most of the ■ Trerithain horses for Biccarton and: Australia.' Several other horses with'early spring engagements were' also1 worked fast. The outside of the'course properwas used, aud, although soft, was a shade faster than on Thursday. •■' ;■■

Pntchard's tea Tray—Lady Violet rising two-year-old gelding. Vivette (E. Moriis) did a similar task alone in 43sec easily. Pahu (Wilson) and Town Beauty (F. W. 80-call) cantered around, then did a strong working gallop together o\er another lound, the last mile being covered in lmm 53 1 ssec. They remained on terms till a furlong from the post, whon Pahu drew out to finish about three lengths, m front. Royal Game and Black Mint, each with Kohloff in tho sadSle, were separately schooled over the pony hurdle, then over, the three .schooling hurdles. Koyal Game jumped cleanly and gave easily his best display to date. His only fault was to dip on landing ovei the" second fence. Black Mint, although fencing with little pace on, also showed more i .stylo in his^ effort than, he has on previous occasions. Again' he^mamfested b. reluctance to cross the second fence in the. run.
