BROKEN BYLAWS

Offenders agaftist the bylaws were dealt with in the Magistrate's Court yesterday by Messrs. D. H. Edgar. J.P, and W. Wolland, J.P. For not having'drivers' licences, Phillip John McGowan, .Phillip Millar, and Stanley^ Hazlewood"were, each fined £1, and on similar charges the following were each ordered to pay costs, 10s: John Donald McKeuzie, Melba Cooper Phillips, Arthur 'Thompson, Briton Poole Smith, and George Benny. Charged with parking, their motor-cars for more than half an hour between S a.m. and 6 ajn., Cecil Alexandra Black, Russell Byfield, Evan Cragg, Edward Dawson./Frederick.- Harrap;, Arthur Radford, and'Patrick-Williams were each fined 10s. Speeding cost James Mclntyre, William St. Clair Morris, and Harold Williams £2 each, Huia Hill; Robert Foon, and Albert Bibble, £1 each, and Samuel Greer 10s. Thomas Fearon and John Millante were each, fined £1 for failing to obtain hawkers licences. For overloading a motor-lorry, Robin Hector Hare was fined: £2, and John1 Coventry £1. Fines of 5s each were imposed on Gerald Joyce, .who had no light on his bicycle, and George Cuttle, for having no rear red lamp on his' motor-pycle. On charges of failing to obtain »licavy traffic licences for their vehicles, Albert1 ' . Mildenhall was fined £2" and Selwyn John&to-i £1. Norman Johns was fined. £2 for cutting a corner, and Benjamin Martella £1 for ar3wing stock to wauder.
