Mrs. T. C. A. Hislop, Salamanca roaa, has returned to Wellington after a brief visit to Christchureh. Mrs. Gibson 'Stott returned to Motueka last evening after spending a few days in Wellington. Mrs. Ji Halligan, Kolburn, who has been visiting her, mother, Mrs. H. R. Cooke, Auckland, will return home tomorrow morning. Mrs. Cooko will accompany her daughter to Wellington for a visit. Mis. Dickie, who has been the guest of Mrs. A. Tyndall, Bpulcott terraco, returned South last ovening. Mrs. E. C. Cooper, Keri.Keri, Bay of Islands, who has been staying with her mother, Mrs. Henry Hadfield, left this morning to visit her brother, Mr. Gordon Hadfleld, "Lindalc," Paraparaumu. Mis. James Bibby, Waipawa, who visited Wellington for the Conference of Women's Institutes, returned home to-day. Mis. Huthwaite Eonaldson, Christchurch, who has been staying with her parents, Mr.; and Mrs. G. A* Chapman, Lower Hutt, left to-day to visit her sister, Mrs. John Milliard, Wanganui. Miss Peggy Williams, who has boen spending a few months in Hawkes Bay, has returned to Silverton, Geraiaine. Mrs. Chapman Tumor, who attended the conference of Women's Institutes in Wellington this week, returned to Haveloek North to-day. Mrs. Chamberlain, Wellington, is the guest of hor sister, Mrs. F. Kcdwood, Spring Creek, Blenheim. Mrs. Nicholls, Tikokino, Hawkes Bay, will return home to-morrow after spending some days in Wellington, where she attendedv the W.I. Couferenee. Mrs. Lambert,, Westmere, Wanganui, is a visitor to Wellington. Miss Skerman and Miss B. Skeimau, Otaki, are staying at the Eoyal Oak Hotel. A very pleasant party was given recently by "Mrs. E. Judd, Millward street, Newfown, in honour of Miss Jean Mclntyre. Delicious home-made dainties, made by the hostess, wore serv9d for tea, and games and compotitions were played. Prizes were won by Mesdames Meier, McKelvie, C. Cooper, Mclntyre, M. Cooper, and Miss Jean Mclntyre. The good wishes of all wore oxtended to the guest of honour.
