■In Juhe'the buses ran 434 trips to Wellington, covering 15,308 miles and using 1695 gallons of. benzine. According to the report :of the Town- Clerk, the biiß revenue.for, the nionth declined.by approximately, £220. The falling off in revenue for.the three months to the end of .Tune was !£735, or approximately <25 per cent, on; last year's figures. The trading exponditure for the three months was £6TO lower than for the same period last year. Under the circumstances; the position must'be: considered satisfactory.
Instead of ' neglecting its parks owing to Jack, of money, the American town of Dorina,_ in Texas, sold roses from i 13,000 bushes in the :city park, thereby earning sufficient revenue to .keep up its park system.' .....-■
