ANSWERS TO CORRESPONDENTS. "A.T.B."—The annuities arc paid under an aitreement reached between the Governments In 1023, and total about £3,000,000 per year. This is collected from -tho Irish tenant-purchasers and paid to the British Treasury as agent for British bondholders. Tho agreement covored pending purchases and provided that future schemes should ba subject to concurrence of tho British Government, that they should be financed by Irish bond issues, and that tho British Government should guarantee the loans until provision was mado for redemption.
