AUCKLAND TOURING TEAM

AUCKLAND, This Day; Mr. F. E. Sutherland, sole selector and manager, has picked eighteen of the twenty-two players for the southern tour of the Auckland Rugby representatives. The first match will be against Hawkes Bay on 30th July, and the last against Canterbury on 20th August. Tho players -selected are:—Full back, Heazlowood; three-quarters; Caughey, Cornthwaite, Pearson; five-eightus,, Maeindoe, -Jamieson; half-back, D. Carter (University); forwards, Finlayson,. Hadley, Palmer, Drake, Batty, Potter, Nelson, Stone, Newdick, Wiklund, Brown. The party, is to be completed with two wing three-quarters, a five-eighth, and another forward. ~ „_ . G. L. Weir and K. Carter, (Ponsonby) were unable to obtain leave. Caughey, Palmer, Solomon, and Corner will 3°m the team later, and they will all be available for the match against. Wellington, or perhaps Wairarapa if required. Solomon and Corner will return to Auckland after the Wellington match, but Caughey and Palmer will travel on South Iwith the team.- ' ,
