SYDNEY, This Day
Two Xew Zealand sportsmen, Messrs. J. Richards and D. P. Wilson,,are leaving for Auckland to-day in tho Niagara after a visit to Melbourne with the hurdler, Captain's Gift. The horse goes direct by steamer from Melbourne at the week-end.
Mr. D. P. Wilson is the owner-' trainer of Captain's Gift, who raced without success while in Victoria) at least three defeats having gone down against him. According to reports, the failures of the horse were exponsivc to his connections. Captain's Gift has been accorded a nomination for next morith,'s Grand National Hurdles at Riccarton.
