The "War Office, announced to-night that the burial as well as the funeral service of the late Field-Marshal iViscount Plumer, who, died this morning, will take place at Westminster Abbey on Wednesday morning.

"On behalf of the Government and people of New Zealand I desire to ex-' press profound regret on the death, of Field-Marshal Viscount Plumer, one of the Empire's most distinguished soldiers, and to ask that their sympathy may be conveyed to his widow- and family. By none will his loss be more deeply aourned than by the military forces of this Dominion, and members of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force who served under his command in the army during a critical -period of the Great War." ;
