Another surprising hat fashion about to be launched by the Englishman was revealed recently as the creator of the "boater?' (states the "Daily Mail"). It is. the page-boy hat, a trim, pill-box affair of felt, similar to the little hats worn by hotel page-boys, and its designer, Mr. Frank Brighten, managing director, of Marlene, Bond street, W., believes that it will have a great vogue.

To wear with it is a little veil, a three-cornered strip of filmy net dotted with a triangle of multi-coloured chenil dots. It isv called the" harlequin veil. "This is the-veil for cocktail time," Mr. Brighten said. "When the wearer of the page-boy hat wishes to adopt a more subdued air she removes tba ttn-le-quin veil and replaces it with a plain one.

. "I have'not. quite perfected the little page-boy hat, but it will soon be challenging the , popularity of the 'boater.' There is only one woman so far who has received the new veil. The advance model of the page-boy hat that was shown was in white felt. It is. worn at the popular . angle, jauntily, cocked over one eye with the iiair around it at the back of the head.
