TOMATO JUICE
Interesting mention is made of ■ the value of tomato juice in "Kai Tiaki" in a paper-written by D. F. JFra'ser Harris, 8.50.,: M:D., D.Sc., P.E.S.B. It is stated, that three valuable vitamins, A, B, and 0, are all found in .totnato juicev The only other vegetables which contain all th,ese are raw carrots, among the root vegetables, and Cabbage, cauliflower, lettuce, and watercress among the greens:- This' discovery about thfe tomato is quite a recent one, and is of the uttaost value, as this delicious product can be used in the diet of everybody, but especially in that of infants and young people.. '"Mothers," Bays the writer, "would be well advised to keep a stock of this tomato juice in their nursery i cupboards, and a, feW drops should be added to ■• pasteurised or boiled milk."
