VACANT MAORI SEAT
LABOUR SEEKS CANDIDATE
Mr. Te A. Pitama, of Tuahiwi, has been approached by the National organ, isation of the Labour Party to stand as a Labour candidate for tho Southern Maori by-election. To a representative of "The Press," Christchurch, Mr. Pitama said that he was engaged in Church work at present, and would not decide until ho had talked the matter over with the Bishop of Christchurch.
