EASTBOURNE AFFAIRS

The monthly-meeting of-'the Eastbourne Borough Council was held last night. The Mayor (Mr. S. F. Fisher) presided, and there were also present Councillors J. F. Rockfitrow, E. N. Batteraby, Margaret Magill, A. Varney, W. F. Hornig, A. Walker, C. A. Rendle, and E. W. Wise. ; A donation of £5 was made to the relief workers' organisation for their food fund. Permits for two buildings, valued at £1820, were issued in- May.
