A ROUSING SEND-OFF

MESSAGE
The New Zealand Rugby football representatives left by the Marama this afternoon for Australia, where they have a programme, of ten match engagements to fulfil during the next few weeks. Members of the team have received many farewells during the past few days, and best wishes for an enjoyable and successful tour have been showered upon them. ■; A very i large assemblage gave the team a rousing send-off at the-wharf this afternoon. v During the tour there will be three.Tests with Australia. The team is due back in New, Zealand early in August. • : ' /' A Press Association message from Auckland states that the GovernorGeneral, Lord Bledisloe, has sent a message to Mr. W. 3, Wallace, manager of. the New Zealand Rugby team, wishing the team the best of luck and saying he is confident that the spirit of clean sportsmanship, keenness, and unselfishness in striving; for victory for which the New Zealanders enjoy a wellmerited. World-wide .reputation will inspire all the players in the Tests against their friendly rivals in Australia. Ho expresses regret that they will just miss seeing the New Zealand-Australia Football Trophy, designed by New ZealajuTand executed by British'craftsmen, which arrives from England to-day.
