TAI AO AND AIGUILLE
.Among the entries for the second day of the Napier Park Meeting, to be held on Thursday and Saturday of next week, is the Gisborne three-yea.r-old crack, Tai Ao, whose nine starts to date have pro. dueed eight firsts and a second, the solitary defeat being at Ms first appearance, and then only by a very narrow margin. Hia engagement is in .the Winter Oals Handicap, seven furlongs. If he makes the trip he will be accompanied 'by his three-year-old atableinato, Aiguille (Threadneedle—Sabine), who is engaged in hack events. Aiguille also has a ,good? winning record to date, on the East-Coasti- and is reported to be as good as,: if; not better than, Tai Ao. If such i& a correct estimate, and the assertion has .been-voiced/by competent critics, all that reriiain's to be said is that Twiner J; W: Nixon is indeed in a fortunate position in haying such a pair oE students un-der-his'tuition.
