SPECIAL EFFORT
CITIZENS' DAY NURSERY
Mrs. Eeid presided over the usual happy gathering at"the Citizens' Day Nursery. She .read a. letter of greeting from Mrs. Gray, who, on her way to England, posted a letter at Fitcairn Island. Mrs. Gray's letters from London, telling of her visits to children's institutions at Home will be looked forward to with great interest. , A vote of sympathy was passed to Lady Luke and to Mrs. Magnus, both of these ladies having recently ■ lost a beloved sister.
Ab times are so hard, and working mothers so hardly pressed by lack' of work- and money, a-special effort is to be made shortly' to augment funds. Meanwhile the work goes bravely on, and the little ones . are well fed and cared for, and returned happy to their mothers.
