HUTT POWER BOARD
Mr. S. Blackley presided over a meeting of the Hutt Valley Electric Power Board yesterday.
A comparison of power sales, to the nearest pound, from Ist April to 31st May, 1932 and 1931, respectively, was presented as follows:—Domestic lighting, £6878 (£6868);, commercial lighting, £1570 (£1279); heating and cooking, £3620 (£3185); water heating, £1516 (£1382^.; power, £1408 (£1066). The revenue, allowing for discounts, was £13,378 (£12,672). The discount units registered for. the month were 1,273,800 from Mellirig and 822,000 from'Khandallah. .
The engineer-general manager (Mr. E. F. Hollands) reported that re-inspection work was being carried out on the second year's installations in Petone.
