A finding that the deceased had been, accidentally; killed was "returned hj Mr. W. H.> "Woodward, "Coroner, at aa inquest held at Karapoti, Upper Hntt, on Wednesday, concerning the death of George Bevell, aged 54, a timber worker, ,who was killed at Karappti on the previous ,day t Evidence showed that the deceased- had been .engaged » felling timber wtien,a big log* slid aowa the, steep bank on which he was working, and crashed him .before lie «oul& jump clear. Death was instantaneous. The Coroner said that no blame -was attachable to anyone.
