Boyle, who disposed Sf him to his present owner, ilr. P. E. Thorpr. at the last Grand National Meeting. With the change of ownership came a-change or fortune, and in thirty-two races in Mr J.horpy's colours he has been six times a ■winner, eight times second, and five times third.
At the recent Dunedin Meeting he did not win a race, but he performed consistently. On the first day he was fourth under Bst 111b in the Provincial Handicap one mile and a quarter, won by Red Racer, 7-8 (=amed 7.5), with Red Heckle, 8.12 third. Then on the two final days he was twice second to Fast Passage, to whom ie was conceding a lot. of weight, turnin* the tables on both Red Racer and Red Heckle. It will therefore be seen how it is hejb weighted on top with Red Heckle for .rest Saturday's race.
