Tie New Zealand Meat Producers Board is advised by cablegram from its London office that -the 'shipments from Australia and: South' America tb the United Kingdom' during- the month of May were ,as follows:—Aiistralia: Mutton, ccs., 87,9ol; lamb, ccs., 109,934; beef, qrs., 103,977. South. America: Mutton, ccs., 265,618; lamb, ccs., 416,025;/ beef .(frozen), qrs., .4992, (chilled);" qrsJi, 404,713. Included in ta«i South American figures are 303,932 carcasses of lamb and 228)148 carcasses of mutton ehipped-.frpm Patagoaia. In addition! 1800 tons Patagonian lamb and mutton'have been shipped to the United Kingdom". No /further particulars 'available. The ■ shipments from New Zealand -to the United Kingdom for the same .period were as^follows:—New. Zealand: Mutton, cc&, 323,312; lamb, ccs., • 1,149,407; beef, qrs., 27.554. The shipments from South America to the Continent of Europe dur-ing-sthe same period-were as follows:— Mutton, 212 tons; frozen beef, 2425 tons.
