James,.;son of Mr. and Mrs. J. .Currie, Wadestowi.' - The Bey. E. S. .Watson, officiated,; and: Mr: ;P^-St. •. John Eeenan .wa'siat-.theiorgan.- :The.bride, who was-escorted by her father, wore a:;fitting frock of'ivbrys satin ~with Juliet sleeves ;and a flared" skirt failing softly .from panels of lace inset over the hips and; forming- a.train at the back... The.bq&celwias;inset with ivory\ lace in a deep ;v from the shoulder: Tiay buds of orange blossom held in place her beautiful silk veil, which was worn off the foreheadr Her bouquet was of cream- and autumntinted roses. She was, attended by Miss Marjorie Scheele, who wore a picturesque .frock of pale pink net, with mittens of " net trimmed with tiny frills of niched ribbon. Her coatee was of pink ■ velvet with a medici collar, the elbow length sleeves1 being trimmed with white fur. A ■ felt tricofrie hat of the' same tone" with a feather falling softly from the side and a pink quartz necklace and • earrings completed her toilette. Her bouquet was of pale pink roses. Mrs.: Glasgow later received the guests at the Pioneer Club,. wearing an ensemble of black and white under a black fur coat, and a black hat with a touch of green. She carried a bouquet of autumn/tints. Mrs. Currie wore a model -frock of bottle-green un"der;a-.-c"oat of'the same colour andra.tricorne . hat .to!-, match. Her .bouquet was . also ;of •/autumn tints* -Mrs. J.; M.' Glasgow (grandmother of the;-brid'e) wore black. Mr. and~Mrs.-Cnrrie later'left for the north, the: bride : a .nigger .brown tailored costume with skunk furs, and.;a hat to match. /
The wedding was solemnised recently, at- the Baptist Church, Wanganui, of Mr. Benjamin H. "W. Edwards: and: Miss D. Gwendoline •.Pitt,: both 'of ton.
