MILD, PLEASANT WEATHER
An anti-cyclone has v continued to control the weather, which'has been fine over the greater part of ' the Dominion. Some- showers, •however, have fallen in - South, Westland arid about Fpveaux Strait, the effect of the slight passing to the eastwards. Gisbo'rne also report's having had' 0 points of rain last night. ■ The winds have been somewhat variable, though-light to moderate westerlies and southerlies have predominated. :
The weather was again fine yesterday at Auckland,.though at times misty, with a light south-easterly wind. ' Another .beautiful day with a light northerly, wind was- experienced in Wellington;'■ It, was sjmny.in Christchurch most of the, day, but; became- overcast in tho late afternoon. There was a slight ■ frost1 there ilast night. ■ At Dunedin the, weather' was fine but cloudy and - cold, a light/ southerly wind prevailing. ''. ~ '■■• ■ . •
The forecast is for variable winds with light' to moderate westerlies or south-westerlies prevailing. A continuance of fair to fine weather may bo expected in most districts, with scattered showers likely in Westlaud and far southern districts. '
