DOUBLES STARS BEATEN ■STEW YORK, 23rd April. At "White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia, a sensation -was sprung today when Marcel Rainville, of Montreal, a Canadian Davis Cup player, and Eugene MeCauliff, 'of Yonkers, New York, playing'together as- a team for the first time this week, defeated Allison and Van Ryu, the national doubles champions, 4-6, 6-1, 6-3, in the semi-final of the annual Mason and Dixon championship tennis tournament.
