Manx Society's Evening.
The increasing interest that is being taken by Manx people resident in Wellington in! .their socioty was evidenced by the large attendance that gathered on Saturday in the Eechabite Hall, Willis street,, when members and friends enjoyed the. hospitality of Mr. and Mrs. L.. L. Ci Moore. The proceedings commenced by all singing several of the traditional songs of the'lsle of Man, after which a delightful programme of song, dance, and story was presented by Misses C. Kelly, M. Oates, E. Delaney, M. Harris, Mary'Flanagin, Keys, Bennet, Messrs. A. Quayle and J. Wattersbn.. The aceompanistes were Mesdames Boultori Smith and London, and Misses B. Ferguson and , Harris. Manx visitors were present from Gisborn& and Stratford. Mr. T. E. Cprkill (president), on behalf of all' present, thanked Mr. and' Mrs. Moore for their kindness and generosity in arranging such a pleasant time. Mrs. Moore was assisted_ by a number of young friends in serving supper. ', The singing of the Manx National Anthem concluded the' proceedings.
