Presbyterian Orphanages.
Beports on work dono by the various churches were givon by members at the, recent annual meeting of the Ladies' Auxiliary of Proabyterian Orphanages/Materials had been bought ,by them and made up into garments for children. resignation from tho committoe of 1 Mrs. McFarlano (Seatoun), wh,o has.been an active member for many years; was received with re gret. Arrangements were niado to visit the homos monthly and 'lclp with mending, etc. Tho election cf officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows:—President, Mrs. A. Lou; vicepresident, Mrs. D. Calder; honorary secretary, Mrs. E. Tait; honorary. trea3-
urer, Mrs. A. Purdie. At the close of tho meeting Mr. Stephenson (superintendent of the homes) spoke to the members, and outlined in detail tho ways they could, help with the work during the year. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded him.
