'VARSITY MATCH WELLINGTON THE WINNERS By defeating Auckland by ten wickets Wellington are the winners of the Speight Trophy, which is donated for competition between Auckland University College and Victoria University College. When "The Post" went to press yesterday Wellington were batting, and had put on 20 runs without loss. Arndt and Osborn were still at the crease when Wellington passed Auckland's score at 3.20 p.m. The following are details:— AUCKLAND. First innings 102 Second innings 213 WELLINGTON. First innings 274 Second Inniugs. Arndt, not out 14 Qsborn, not out 27 Extras . 2 Total for no wickets 43 Bowling Analysis.—Schnauer took no wickets for 19 runs; McMillan, none for 11; Carter, none for 11.
