WIOLLISON AT WALVIS BAY, WELL AHEAD OP EECORD United Press Association—By Electric' Telagraph—Copyright. (Received 29th March, 10 a.m.), ," CAPE TOWN, 28th March.' The. airman, Mr. J. A. Mollison, who is attempting a record flight from Lympne to Cape Town in a Puss Moth by the West African route,left Walvis Bay, South Africa, at noon on the final hop of 800 miles. He is expected 1o reach Cape Town at 7 o'clock to-night, twelve hours ahead of the record. He covered 1450 miles on his first day. i Mollison left Lyjnjme for the Cape^ on 24th March, expecting to Teach his destination ia jfour days. His first day's flight carried him to Colours • Beehar. on the edge of the Sahara De--sert, in Erench Morocco. He was later reported as having passed over Gao .on"- the JSTiger at 5 p.m. on 26th.
