IDEAL WEATHER
TYPICALLY AUTUMNAL The weather continues to be controlled by an intense anti-cyclone. The centre of this has moved further northward since last night, with the result that the south-easterly or easterly "winds, which have been strong in places in the- North Island; have decreased in force. Over the South Island this morning winds were light, and variable. During the last twentyfour hours further scattered showers have fallen on the East Coast of the North Island, whilst in the far1 northern districts there have been some fairy heavy falls of rain, Capo Maria reporting 53 points. The greater part of the Dominion, however, has experienced fair to fine, but cool, weather. It was cloudy and misty in Auckland yesterday morning, rain falling early, but the afternoon was fine. Wellington enjoyed fair weather yesterday, although it was cloudy at times. Tho wind was a light south-easterly. Christchurch and Dunedin each had a bright and sunny day yesterday, with a light easterly wind. There was a slight frost in Christchurch last night. Light to moderate winds between south and east are forecasted. A few scattered and light showers may be expected on the East Coast north of' Napier, but otherwise fine weather should be experienced. Temperatures will be milder.
