MANOR PARK CLUB
A successful tournament for members was run by the Manor Park Golf Club during the Easter holidays, the principal event being the Easter Cup, match play over 18 holes. The finalists were J. St. H. Pope and H. J. Mehaffey, a keen struggle resulting in a win for Pope on the 19th green. Other events resulted: — First ■ stroke competition, 36 holes and qualifying rounds for Easter Cup: Best net score, A. Hendry, 150; best gross score, H. Mehaffey, 180. Second stroke competition, 18 holes: E. Rodgers, 80 nett; H. Mehaffey, 80 nett. Mehaffey won the play-off. Third stroke competition, 18 holes: A. S. T. Butler, 75 nett. I Bogey competition, 18 holes: E. Rodgers, 2 down. Best ball four-ball bogey: F. Page and D. Butler, 2 up; Mrs. Butler and E. Brockett, 2 up. Foursome N medal competition: F. Page and D. Butler, 78 nett. Best ball four-ball medal: Miss B. Mehaffey and F. Page, 67 nett. A teams natch 3 a-side stroke play over 18 holes for the Easter Shield was won by A. S. T. Butler, E. W. Brockett, and E. A. Rodgers, who returned an aggregate nett score of 236 for the 18 holes: During the tournament R. Smith holed his tee shot at the sth hole. Honours were duly paid by Mr. Smith at the 19th at the conclusion of the tournament.
