In spite of their lead of 55 runs on the first innings, the Wellington Colts were defeated by the Hastings B -team in a two days' match. The home side had made 80 in the first innings, and to-day was all out in the second for 150. Geake (38) and Garrod (27.) made a good ]<ist-wicket stand for 55. Wellington made 130 in the first innings ( but to-day was all out for 59 in the second, due practically to Patterson's bowling, his average being seven for 24. j
