' South Auckland's first innings closed for 333, and Bay of Plenty in its second strike failed by 103 runs to reach the home side's first innings total.'The visitors made a poor showing, Sutherland being the only batsman ta give a good display. Continuing South Auckland's first innings, Badeley carried his overnight score to 17. Barnett scored 18 not out.
