DEMOLITION FATALITY
The following resolution was carried at a meeting of the Wellington Trades and Labour Council:— I "The Trades and Labour Council learns with the deepest regret of the unfortunate accident during the demolition of the Government Life Insurance Building, resulting in the death of two workmen and serious injuries to others, and respectfully tenders to the relatives of the deceased its deepest and heartfelt sympathy and condolence in their sad and untimely bereavement, to the relatives of the injured its 'sincere sympathy and wishes for a quick and permanent recovery." The three men, L. W. Lang, JV Summers, and L. Ham, -who were injured last week when a "wall fell"in the Government Life Insurance Building, are to-day reported to be progressing favourably towards recovery. |
