HASTINGS, 27th March. A team of Wellington "colts" started a match against the Hastings seniors on Saturday. Hastings batted first, and were all out for 80, to which the visitors replied with 135. In the second innings Hastings had lost four. wickets' for 41. Bowling for Wellington, Mallard took seven wickets for 48; McLean, three for 7. For Hastings, Paterson took four for 9; Geake, two for 18; and Garrod, two for 31.
