SOUTHERN RETICENCE
(By Telegraph.) (Special to "The Evening Post.")
CHKISTCHURCH, This Day. When on Friday and Saturday the sales reported on the Christehurch Stock Exchange consisted of only one transaction for : each day some comment was caused, as it had been reported that business on the preceding days had actually been fairly heavy. , ;. -■-~. This week, however, thera have been no reported sales at all, which is a somewhat unusual thing for Christchurch. It was ascertained in reply to inquiries that there were differences o£ opinion as to the conditions under which these transactions should be reported, and that in the meantime brokers wore not reporting sales. The result is that the volume oE business passing apparently shows a marked decrease; but the reports, being confined to dealings on 'Change, do not cover the daily transactions as completely as usual.
