EARLY MORNING FIRE
Shortly before 2 o'clock yesterday morning a four-roomed house at the top of Orangi-Kaupapa'road was completely destroyed by fire. The Fire Brigade could not be of much assistance, as the nearest fireplug to the house was half a mile away. The house was owned by James R. Clements and occupied by Ralston Carlisle. No one was at home at the time of the outbreak.
Messrs. E. Johnston and Co., auctioneers, will sell the stock-in-trade of the O.K. Cabinet Co., 107, Cuba-,st., to-morrow, at 10.30 a.m. They will also sell ladies' and men's underwear, etc., at their mart, No. S, Willeston street, to-morrow, at 1.30 lyn.
