PROF. COPLAND'S MISSION
SUGGESTIONS FOR RELIEF
(By Telegraph.)
(Special to "The Evening Post.")
CHEISTCHUECH, This Day. "I do not desire to indulge in a public controversy, and I will content myself by saying that I am not doing missionary work on behalf of a high exchange rate, but I am making, at the request of New Zealanders, suggestions which I believe will relieve New Zealand's position," said Professor Copland at Timaru in reply to Sir Harold Beauchamp's statement.
Professor Copland said he was quite confident to place his statement alongside that of Sir Haroia Boauchamp for the consideration of informed opinion.
