ALIVE OR NOT ALIVE?
That's a question thovsands of people have been asking themselves, each other and us daring ' this Jast week. To set all doubts at rest wo are able to announce .that Monsieur do Patou, the f among mechanical mannequin and tho object of all,the questioning, is very much alive. He comes direct to the D.I.C. from some of the largest departmental stores in Paris. He was engaged to present the wonderful hosiery purchase rna^'lo by our London Office. Ho takes up 'aiis pose as a mechanical, figure and ho'lda that post during an amazingly "clever work demonstration. Huge crowds have been to see him every day, and all are fascinated by the fact that a human being can 'so develop ncr\ves and muscles to maintain only .absolutely mechanical movements. \ Monsieur do Patou concludes l'iis visit here on Saturday with scssioras, tho tea room and windows, commencing at 10.30. ■To : morrow" (Friday} ho will appear in the window at 2.15 and 4.15 p.m., and in the Tea Room at 3.30 p.m. .
