■Seeker of tha Truth."—With tho exception of small -and Inconsiderable portions of the foreshore between Breaker Bay and Lyaii Bay,, and the extremity" of Point Halswoll, which .belong ,to the Harbour Board, Mitlne Department, or tho Defence Department, practically tho whole of the beaches that would be patronised by the public are under the control of the Reserves Department of the City Council. All beaches are free to the public for bathing and othor diversions, provided that there s no annoyance to, mo u-ioral public, but it is necessary for anyone desirous of preaching on. the: benches to first obtain a permit from the Director of Parks and ■Reserves.. ■. ■.■."... ,
