Yon will have read in the nowspipois, if you. have not already received a copy of a statement issued by the piesident of the mew Zealand Trotting Association, in connection vritb. the Ngingongingo case: The contentions as set forth on behalf of the assouation may bo open to criticism, but it is desnable that the prestige and authority of the New Zealand Trotting Association should be upheld so far as may be possible, and it would not be seemly that any aigument should ens>uo m connection with the lesignation of the majority of the membeis of, the association until the matter has been discussed and finalised by the New Zealand Trotting Conference The executive of the confeience are satisfied that the delegates "ap pointed by tho clubs to attend the spo»ial meeting of the conference on 21st Jamurv will be able to deal with the business on its meuts when the facts are placed befoie them.
