Silver .'Paper was a competitor at the Vincent Meeting^on-Saturday, and gave a glimpse of'his'pMtform by winning the concluding event! He did not appear to be half ready when paraded, and was the last of the field into the straight. . He, however,1 cut/ down the leaders in great style, and^beat Caterpillar by a bead. Silver Paper, who is now held by Mr. C. White on lease till November nest,- is trained at Omakau, and he pulled up quite sound after the race. As lie is now only six years old, it is possible that lie will yet come back to his former brilliance, arid if lie should he. will set the owners of gtb,§v gou.tb.era sprinters Jhinking.
