STAFFING OF COLLEGES

" The Order-in.-Qouncil gazetted last week relating to the regulations of combined secondary and technical schools, to-include Nelson, New Plymouth and Napiei',-:will.ll2LS.e;an^ef£ectJon::the staffs of; the local colleges, particularly in respect to part-time teachers, who, if their engagement is continued, will have to count as full-time assistants: Thi? Miles, M.A., of the Wairarapa High School staff- 'has ' been appointed to the staff of Nelson College as full-time, Commercial; master. The appointnie'iit has'been made as a result of the combination of the Colleges and Technical School. ..The Nelson Cricket Association has been advised that Nelson has the next challenge for the Hawke Cup, at present held by South Auckland.
