ANNIVERSARY DAY EXCURSION TO PICTON.
Another excursion by the Rangatira to rictou will be made on Anniversary Day, 22nd January. The new 6000-ton fcurboelectnc vessel is timed.to leave the Ferry Wharf at Wellington at.B a.m., and if she does the trip across- at the sanve speed as on New Year's Day she should be at Picton before 10.30 a.m. What with her size, and the short time, little more than an hour in the open seaj even the worst or sailors should not have much oppo - tumty to feel upset on this trip. The lour hours spent at Picton will be all too little lor-enjoying the beautiful surroundings of thes little port,, with its lovely view down Queen Charlotte Sound. The return trip will commence- at 2.30 p.m., and the Kangatira should be berthed alongside the Wellington wharf shortly after 5 o'clock.
